Himalayan Project is a small non-profit grassroot Non Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in1997 in Denmark, which conducts educational and community development projects in the Himalayan range of Nepal, with major activities in the area of Upper Solu in Solu-khumbu District in north-eastern part of Nepal.
We are running programs which promote self-support and local initiative, emphasizing the deveopment of self-sufficiency and buliding up skills that will help the local inhabitants implementing long-term and sustainable projects, which can eliminate illiteracy and lack of economic opportunities. Please consider joining us to help work toward this mission.
Himalayan Project are finding the funds for the projects mostly in Denmark but gradually all around the world among private persons, financial organizations. Himalayan project finds their cooperates in Nepal among persons and non-profit oraganizations, who have skills, capacity and commitment to do social work in their homeland.
